Giant of PC processor maker, Intel, introduced the design program baselines or Intel Reference Design for Android (RDA) for a cheap Android tablet. Hopefully, the design of the Intel tablets could be used by device manufacturers to reduce the cost required to bring a product cheap Android tablet to the market.
"By utilizing this program, device manufacturers can allocate resources to innovate around their products," said corporat Vice President and General Manager, Software and Services Group, Doug Fisher. Doug Fisher, describe further about the program in the RDA Intel IDF 2014 conference taking place this week in San Francisco, USA.
According to Fisher, Intel will responsible to design and work processes-including the OS update security patches and fixes Bug- for tablet devices that use this basic reference design. The partner that uses Intel's tablet design would later build a product with a list of components (Bill of Materials) that has been previously selected.
The first products from Intel RDA program is expected to be started to be on the market at the end of 2014.
